Johnstone Park
  • Beginning life as part of a natural watercourse, Johnstone Park has seen many changes in appearance and function over the last 160 years, from a dangerous gully to a swamp, then a popular and lush leafy retreat to civic and public event space. The land once known as La Trobe's Dam was acquired by Geelong Town Council and a concerted effort was immediately made to beautify the area and make it safe for all who would use it.
